Today, the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, met the Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni, in the presence of the Bahraini Ambassador to Italy Dr. Naser M.Y. Al Belooshi.
Both sides discussed means of boosting cultural cooperation, stressing the importance of cultural diplomacy in narrowing distances and building bridges of cooperation between the two friendly countries.
Shaikha Mai and the Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation visited the art collections which adorn the walls of the Italian Foreign Ministry, depicting the history of Italian art.
