Prospects of cooperation for sustainable development between Italy and Bahrain.
Visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to the Vatican City State and the Italian Republic, on September 29, 2025.
His Royal Highness, in the presence of His Excellency Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Industry of Italy, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and numerous senior officials in the Italian capital, attended the signing ceremony of several agreements between the private sectors of the two countries.

The Italy-Bahrain Business Council Agreement, regarding the strengthening of cooperation and the development of business partnerships, was signed by Khalid Rashid Al Zayani, Co-Chairman of the Italy-Bahrain Business Council, on the Bahraini side, and by Ignazio Moncada, Co-Chairman of the Italy-Bahrain Business Council, on the Italian side.
The agreement between the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and BBM Banca d’Italia regarding bilateral banking partnerships in the fields of trade and investment was signed by Ms. Hala Yateem, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), and Mr. Massimo Tononi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BBM.
These agreements aim to consolidate the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, opening broader horizons for joint cooperation and creating greater economic and investment opportunities to support their journeys and the achievement of their shared goals and aspirations.
